(No I have not been stalking this page and waiting for the comic to come up quickly)
That was such a good introduction to Elar! Personally, I really love these types of narration based comics that hit your emotions hard, so it was such a fun read for me. . . I say as I am emotionally hurt by page 5. . . Panel/composition wise, page 6 is very much my favourite and I can't wait to see more of Elar's story!
Also, the last page with everyone drawn is so cute as well!! Everyone's personality is depicted so well and I love it so much. Bless you for letting Bodo join too omg ;w;/

HOT DAMN! This is fucking peak! Boy oh boy I wish you had more time during the main round, cause if you were able to get colour like this into your round 1 HOT FUCKING DAMN! The blues of the flashback is fuckign stellar, if you do get the chance to colour your main round comics I would suggest using this style. grabbing a colour and running the values of it with the slight highlights everynow and then and keeping the main characters coloured up. Its really striking and very well done. I still think theres a few readability issues with certain panels when you get them really bunched up and small. EI, top of page 2 and page 4 (the text bubbles being on the top and bottom every time threw me off a bit as the flow of reading got a little bumpy). I hate this power so much hahaha, you do it very well and it makes me uncomfortable but god damn did you make it interesting, keep this up in the main round and your opponents will be very very scared, Fantastic work on this, one of my favourite comics from you Minty. YIPPPPEEE!!!!!

This is a solid introduction comic, and one that absolutely nails the main objective, re: giving the reader a strong sense of who Jeremy is, both in terms of his powerset and what might motivate him. I get the impression of a clinical and well-meaning mind, and one with a food bit of humility to boot, all without needing much to be explicitly laid out.

A lot of nice touched in your illustrations - I like the minute scars/stretch lines that result from Jeremy using his powers. They almost feel an afterthought until you get to the portion of the origin where you discuss his parents' concern over them, whereupon the significance they suddenly take feels very rewarding from a storytelling POV.

On the topic of the parents, I adore the unspoken blank stretch of time between unveiling the powers and Jeremy being enrolled. Its absolutely pregnant with implications that make me all the more excited to read Jeremy's adventure at the school proper.

Terrific stuff overall!
