Kathy Hynes is a young genderfluid punk from Pittsburg in a timeline of Earth that took a slightly less hellish path and is now taking its very first steps in multiverse exploration. Her younger sister, Hope Hynes, was working on a college project related to unlocking the secret to multiversal travel when she mysteriously went missing, with the police writing it off as a runaway. Taking matters into her own hands, Kathy broke into the Penn State physics lab in the dead of night, stole the Liminal Transfer Device (LTD), and used it to jump to a new universe in search of his sister. They now hop from timeline to timeline, and do not intend to stop until they find Hope--though they're not opposed to stopping to right wrongs along the way. She can't resist a good sob story, after all, and it's a good way to use her newfound psionic powers gained from being infused with the energies of the space between worlds.
