Claymore is a newcomer to the Junction, who was originally a monster from a high-magic world. Before slipping into the Junction, Claymore was very recently Converted into a recovering-from-the-apocalypse world fraught of mutants and other non-humans (and as such, kept some of his original monstrous appearance).

Claymore's Conversion had them temporarily staying at a more or less stranger's apartment, and as luck would have it, the entire complex was transported into the Junction 2 hours into Claymore's arrival without the home's owner being present. This is very fortunate for Claymore, as he now has a place to stay until someone makes him pay rent.

However, a result of this timing was that he hadn't had time to acclimate to his new reality before winding up in the Junction, hence explaining his vague aura of confusion and lack of groundedness.

Currently, Claymore journeys around the Junction in an effort to understand and follow the concept of "Normal".
