Heartwell is, or rather, was a regional manager. It was a job inherited rather than earned. His life was nothing special, having the task of overseeing the city's factories, looking over the only thing that could not be automated: people.
Still, all of that became past when, much to his surprise, the workers found a seemingly intact book stuck in the city's water input. Curiosity got the best of him as he got it for himself, pocketing it to check later that night. It was at the golden candlelight he discovered what it was: The one tool to string people along to his plans. This book came to be known as "Bounty of the sea", named after its origins.
