Being initially created to help others, especially humans from the Earth at the time, get abroad as well as locate wherever they could go and such, Comet thought that's all he's meant to be. But he was very wrong. However, he was programmed to stick to the rules, like any good robot, and most importantly- Don't interact with humans in any *personal* way or he would be deactivated for a whole year. His programming is lowkey similar to that of a typical AI, but even more advanced. He can develop his own complex personality all the way from the basic level via interacting with others. However, he just got double unlucky; the one time he actually developed a genuine crush on a human for the first time ever, they had to part due to an apocalypse of a viral flower army suddenly coming upon the planet, and then he got deactivated shortly before *almost* everyone who was able to reactivate him has died. At the same time, about half of every other human that hasn't died yet just upped and left the whole planet to move to colonize another one very far away. Comet was one of the only few being left behind due to him being seen as severely deflective and unnecessary 'extra'.
