Wylie never really recovered from the crash; His bitterness and resentment only built up more and more over over the course of each year, disguised by a thin veil of "humour"— if one can call it that.

He wanted control. He needed control. He needed to feel as if life was on the palm on his hand.
After spending some time as a drifter, hopping from job to job in an aimless attempt to find something that would stick— Wylie found a side hustle that paid well. Quite well.
In the dead of night, he would put on a jester costume and "dispatch" a life or two; For the extra cash, of course. But the thrill of exerting control over his victims, creating fear in their hearts before orchestrating their demise, is becoming harder and harder to resist.
