InkySlime

Had a real good laugh with both of these comics, very fun reads!

Gregly, really great panel layout and I enjoyed the set up and interaction between the two characters!

Myeth, also great layout and pacing, worked really well for the set up for the drop!

good work ya'll!

MYETH - Your panel-to-panel sequences on these pages are absolutely TERRIFIC. Pages 2 and 3 take the cake in this regard, imo. Senki's dawning realization that his quarry has cut loose running in parallel with the absolutely DERANGED look on BUMRUSH's face as he plummets was hilariously and beautifully paced. Similarly, Senki going through the stages of grief in the egg carton page that follows, while high stakes for him, is absolutely hilarious, and the repetition of the layout heightens that humor wonderfully.

There's some terrific standalone panel compoosition here too. The low angle shot of Senki on page 4 is my favorite in this regard, both for how it frames the shape of his face, and for how it punctuates the earlier flashback (and ending that flashback with a threat to Senki's mortgage is i's own great punchline.

Senki's problem solving approach is unique, but makes for a great punchline to the comic. While I would have loved getting more of BUMRUSH on-page, his presence is still very much felt in the pages that follow his early exit, and the comic is a nice focus on your opponent making the wise move to stay out of the chasm.

GREGLY - This is a really good execution for an encounter comic - two sort of oddball guys (to VERY varying degrees, natch), getting to bounce off each other in a clean dialogue against a pretty wacky backdrop.

I like your characterization of BUMRUSH - a real oddball, but you get a terrific sense of who he is and the type of ambitions he has, and it remains entertaining to see him dig and fall twice in a row, and have such different reactiond to each fall.

I like how Senki here is a bit of an oddball in his own way too - claiming to not be harming the environment (his little wooper-esque buddy was a GREAT include) while clearly altering the chasm shelf pretty dramatically. (I wonder what he's collecting the crystals for, thought I kind of like that you don't tell us, tbh)

Art-wise, some terrific low- and high-angle panels, and a really nice job of lushing up the upper levels of the chasm - you've done the tournament setting justice in that regard.

Love the ending as well - I like the implied promise that both characters will continue on to the bottom together, and it feels like a nice payoff to their back-and-forth that they're amenable to being traveling companions (at least for now). Your down-chasm shots are all very good, and the last one is no exception - lots of fun depths yet to plumb in this tournament.

What a delve- into hilarity! This was so silly on both ends XD you two really know how to tickle a funny bone. Gregly, I always enjoy your toony take to your comics which I think was a strength considering your opponent

Myeth, I had no idea what to expect of this character based on the mad design, but you went ham on the ridiculousness of the concept, which I applaud.

Judge for Infinity Chasm

This is going to sound insane because while structurally i believe that there is nothing i'd consider "wrong" with this comic. This comic has fun angles, an attention to detail in the environment that allows for some really great shots that would make this comic a worthwhile read on its own. The usage of colors is also something I am a fan of, as it only adds to the mood of the comic as a whole, lending a fun cartoony vibe to the story that i could see existing within a real book!

the reasoning for my judgement to fall in favor of Bumrush comes more from the fact that there was constant interaction between Bumrush and Senki from the word go, there is hardly any setup for future events, its all action from the second your eye lands on the page

Composition-wise, I feel as if this is the stronger of the two entries, each page is made with intention and it feels as if not a single panel is wasted, and I think that's what so great about your work. There is not a wasted moment, wasted panel, it is all back to back humor and building on itself in a way that ends up feeling natural, smooth, and a damn good read. BUM RUSH TO THE BOTTOM !!!
