Hell yeah!!! What a bombastic introduction to the world of Oculama. I love the meta aspect of how she gets here and the Watchman (is that a pun in there? He watches for entertainment?) The comic gives such a good sense of this character and HOT DAMN your art is so stylin'. The way you integrate text in a way that perfectly fits the art-- super cohesive!! And that stretch to jump series of panels is so animated I can feel it in my bones. Well done!

This was a cute comic! I thought we got a pretty good sense as to what the character's all about and I think you established the basic premise pretty well within the 10 pages. In general, your characters were bright and expressive with a lot of fun movement, motion, and action. You had a really great emotional set on display, which gave us a really good taste of your abilities! On a bit of a down note your buildings were lacking in general pizzazz comparatively due to the lack of texture, discernible shape, or depth to them! I hope to see you improve that later, because its a shame your backgrounds wouldn't carry that same sense of bright expressiveness! However, knowing that you worked on this and put it out before the conclusion of your tournament round going up makes it understandable why those might not have the strongest focus when you're simply trying to get your comic finished before then. On the whole, this was a great start and EVA 100 strikes me as a great character and I'm excited to see what you'll be creating in the tournament and future in general. Great work!

I love LOVE the look of this character. They have such gravitas! Such a roguish scamp energy about them that makes them instantly endearing. Its clear this is a well loved character that was likely made long before you joined us here in the Junction- the character sheet alone is fully realized. So welcome!
You'll probably get this from me alot as its the first thing I look for in comics, but with such a robust fully realized character, supporting cast and I would love to see a robust fully realized world they are running in. As it stands, the village? city she's in is a mass of boxes. It's clear you have a sense of space and dimension as you add some really neat blur to the further background buildings, so you got a sense environment and composition, so I'd encourage you to give some features and personality to your structures. Take pictures of your neighborhood or your next trip downtown. I find your own backyard makes the best inspiration.

Welcome to Oculama Verum! I thoroughly enjoyed Eva's intro and I can tell that you really went all out with it. Love the colors, the humor and the personalities of each character that was featured in this comic - big or small. It's a great set up as well for future comics to come as it establishes Eva's motivations from here on out. One critique I can give is that the panels felt a bit too crowded sometimes in a sense that I find myself looking for more establishing shots to let my eyes 'breathe' a little. Overall, I really liked this comic and I am looking forward to future Eva adventures.
