Love a Raincoat adventure, if it even needs to be said~

You do the EWC a great credit in this comic, albeit largely through Night Wizard. The motivation of wanting to do right by their friends is a deeply compelling one, that feels needed to add heart to the cartoonish villainy that seems to be their bread and butter.

Big fan also of how you've drawn them all; the sky gradient on Night wizard is gorgeous, Swamp Wizard has a great energy I can only describe as halfway between hypno-toad and a puppy, and flesh wizard is juuuuust unnerving enough that you can look past all the mouths unless you decide to look carefully.

Loved reading this - felt like a solid journey for all involved, and an enriching addition to the junction.

Your banter throughout this comic is a delight - from Raincoat's vexations to the "are you a cop??" dialogue that makes up the meat of the comic, you keep things very entertaining and engaging. The whole comic manages to capture both sitcom and dramedy vibes with an impressively effortless-seeming ease.

The end page is a really gutting one; the choice to have Swamp Wizard face the effects of the painter's actions without either of the other two there really punctuates both how overwhelming it must feel to be the only one who wanted to take action, and the isolation that comes with feeling like the odd one out.

A great introduction to the EWC overall; I really liked reading this!

I love how hard you go into this evil wizard trio being a bunch of losers, but still give them at their core a heart of gold. I even found myself nervous once Raincoat started making his way downstairs, but who knew the threat all along was a conflict of opinion? Affording your opponent moments for pathos and articulating what they may be struggling with was not on my bingo card for the evil wizard trio, but I certainly appreciate a comic where we see a deeper reasoning behind their motivations based on self reflection and even Raincoats motivation to create an interstellar dream team. It really wasn't until I started writing this review that I realized this is a pretty introspective comic!
You have a tried and true method of creating your comics that have at this point become something of a trademark. This is more a matter of suggestion than critique, but I would challenge you to experiment with your format and the medium. Your setting for this was space, so it'd be neat to go a little off kilter with your paneling and pacing. Really give your composition the feel of the endlessness of space than perhaps traditional panels would allow. You have such a unique character with Raincoat and their magical capability. Having that infused in the technical aspects of your comic making may be rather fun to see the results of :D

I LOVE this style. The tooth and grit of your brush lends your 'inks' a lovely 'sketched on parchment' quality to them that I think really fits for the purposes of the type of characters you're dealing with. You also really have fun with the manipulation of the traditional comic panel to something more organic and amorphous which compliments your setting in the loosest sense of the term. You're dealing with a wizard who can magic up just about anything. Having the world turn into a series of doors just feels *right* and I as a reader can appreciate going a little wonderland by way of styling. Even when you return to the rigidity of paneling where we meet the wizarding trio with the wood framing, the arrival of Raincoat turns that on its head as the wood panels literally break upon their impassioned "Wait!". that is really clever visual storytelling. This comic really feels like a loveletter to this groups magical concept and style that I for one really enjoyed going back to pore over the pages. Great work

A great story of adventure and a lesson in true friendship! Great job creating a comic with a very cohesive story and lovely art, while also serving as a precursor to Comet Chasers Tourney. The art and colors are beautiful. Both the characters and backgrounds are well illustrated. I can tell you took your time with them. There's just one part that confused me a bit due to the arrangement of speech bubbles on page 4 panel 5 where I read "I can't" before Nine Wizard's sentence. Just something to keep in mind! But overall, I really enjoyed this comic and well done as usual!

I love the art direction you chose for this comic. The hatching and rough inks gave me that old-timey storybook feel that took me to medieval-themed stories (it feels like I am reading out of a page from a spellbook). Moreover, I can tell it's also a smart choice to illustrate (or paint??) Paint Watcher's presence and looming threat. It makes it more impactful and jarring.I love the plot you introduced here. It's one that I can easily get invested in. A part of me wished it did not end on a cliffhanger but that's because I genuinely want to know what's going to happen next!

An excellent tie-in with Comet Chasers. Really loved how you incorporated that story and played with that as well. Seeing more Raincoat is really fun as well, since the last time we saw him was a lot more serious but seeing that he has the range to go funny makes him a lot more versatile. Your space backgrounds are so fantastic looking, but the other ones are a little lacking in both color and design. Still, this is another excellent comic to add to this site and character. Great work.

Fantastic way to continue the story that Ninja set up in the scar match from last year. You really sold this story well and incorporated the danger from Xerxes' escape. It was also fascinating since you had it end with a bad end for the Evil Wizards Club. The sketchy inks and great color melt in the finale really elevates the visuals of this. You did an amazing job here and should be exceptionally proud. Try to do more inkwork like this next time! Terrific work!
