Rajesh Ray is a researcher at South City Health Institute, and is the son of Dr. Romesh Ray, a world renown scientist in the field of mutagenics and stem-cell research. He worked under his father at a lab on campus, on a clandestine project involving a “panacea” that could cure any disease via a “reverse-engineered cancer cell”. However, something went wrong in the lab, while Rajesh happened to be away. There was a quarantine, hazmats came, the research was all stowed away and a cover-up was established. He took his father out of the city to his childhood home in the hills, however soon after his father fell fatally ill. Rajesh learned that something went awry that day and flooded the lab with radiation, and now the researchers are dropping dead one by one. His father got a smaller dose, but it’s rapidly spreading through his body, and soon he will be dead. However, squirreled away inside the quarantined lab, there is a sample of a compatible stem-cell that can cure him. Time is of the essence, and Rajesh hops into his car and drives into the city, as there are reports of mysterious seismic activity, and something lying underneath the bay, ready to awaken…

Rajesh is clever, but stubborn, and has a chip on his shoulder from the scrutiny of the scientific community who harbor suspicions that nepotism gave him a role as a junior researcher on such a secretive, prodigious project. He is an expert on biology. He would never consider himself a brave man, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and even an ordinary citizen can survive in an apocalypse in order to save his loved one.
