Comedy is definitely your strong suit and its on display in spectacular form in this comic. The expressions ha to be my fav especially. Toons afford such a rubberbandy exaggeration when it comes to reactions and you Afforded some meme worthy looks from King Jack.
The 'blink and you miss her' gag stretched out throughout the comic made for an amusing launchpad to showcase Didi doing what she does best. Also the toony cameos made me smile. It's great to see your universe filled with the potential for hijinks errywhere. All in all just really enjoyable interaction between two characters that work so much better than I expected

Piñata

I love how you just went ham with the crowd scenes. From the classic
fleischer era toon style and the utter cacophony of ninja Didi's flying in to cause havoc. You made the most of your panels and packed in what it could withstand to make your comic lived in and and populated. Not to mention actually letting us get to know and care about a poor doomed frog who knew too much. Too often you see comics that rely on the dialogue to explain that mob bosses have henchmen and numbers, but you made sure the art spoke for itself.
Didi is petty AF and I am here for it. Downing a whole crime family for saying her dress sucked is the level if diabolical I expect from this character. Not to mention adding insult to injury by using another crime gang instead of herself because she's more than capable, but it wouldn't sting as much if it hadn't been King Jack. Very clever

Rivana

Footini - This comic is an absolute gem and quite possibly the best work I've read from you so far. From start to finish, it had me grinning from ear to ear. The jokes were cleverly crafted and flawlessly delivered, showcasing the unique charm of your storytelling. The artwork and colors were also top-notch, with standout moments like King Jack's hilarious meme-worthy expression on page 7 panel 2. I commend you for tackling challenging perspectives throughout the comic, adding depth and visual interest. The ending was so good. It tugged into my heartstrings and made me forget that Didi was a murder fembot for a good minute or two! Bravo on a job well done!

Rivana

Brentony - As a die-hard Didi fangirl, this comic has brought me sheer joy! Didi looked absolutely stunning in her Psyclocke costume, and dare I say, even better than the original! The hood and mask truly nailed the ninja aesthetic and added a unique flair. The limited blue and pink color palette, with a touch of yellow, was a stroke of genius. I really need to take notes from you about using limited palettes for more efficiency in my own comics. While a small part of me thought about Didi donning a Harley Quinn costume to keep up with the cosplay vibe on page 9, I adore how you can place her in any outfit and she remains instantly recognizable. That's the mark of phenomenal character design and artistic skill. This story took us on an exhilarating ride, and that ending left me craving for more. The final panel gave such an ominous aura, leaving me hopeful for a future where Didi infiltrates the lives of every Oculama character. A tantalizing prospect for sure!

I wanna start of by saying that I think this is one of your strongest comics ive seen you do yet. The Whole story was good, start to finish, so many fantastic gags and I really liked how the colors turned out on this one! King's face on page 7 makes me laugh each time I see it.

I would say your panel layouts were strongest in the last half of the comic (starting page 7). You made good use of all of your space, which, in my opinion, and arguably nitpicky here, I think You could have tighten up your gutters between panels, the Gutter space didn't feel as effectively used as the last half of your comic did. it looked a bit more disjointed and your reading flow didn't go as smoothly as the last half.

Honestly, Solid work dude, this one was a hit start to finish dude, Well done. Absolutely well done.

InkySlime

You son of a biscuit you've done it again. What an absolute treat of a comic. Again, you're writing here was so Clever and so Funny, Having me laughing at something almost every page. The Screen tone and limited color palette looks so good, you really effectively utilized the limit you gave yourself.

That Last panel Punch on page 3? HECK YEAH, THAT LOOKS GOOD.

My only Critique I can think of, and maybe a bit nit picky, is the Page 6 fight scene. I know it is meant to be chaotic but my eyes where having a hard time deciding where to go next to read and I had to take a moment with the page.

Overall, fantastic job, The motive twist made me snicker in my cubical at work when I first read it. Big Didi Fan and I can't wait to read your next comic.

It's always a pleasure to see your work, and this is no exception. King Jack Queen is always primed for cartoon shenanigans, and I liked the pacing that your story went for. All your character reactions were fun and the cameos were great to see. You got Didi's personality down pat, and thought it was clever that all of KJQ's traps were tailor made to fail in the face of an android. At the end of the day, Didi's basically become KJQ's rascally wabbit and I can see her just randomly pop up and bug him again and again. Hope to see more of them!

Rikun

I can tell that this comic has a denser story, and it was also a great take with a lot of Didis. I found the limited palette to be charming and you really built on King Jack Queen's gang as well as the random anime yakuza he ends up fighting. The pacing felt a bit drawn out and felt like stitching two plotlines together to create a bigger story, but it was still enjoyable to see how many different ways Didi's can slip herself into any situation. and it really seems like you want to continue the association for the future! Whether or not this thread is further elaborated on seems to be up in the air, and maybe we'll see more?

Footini you're selling the bit so well in this, I love how rooted the whole comic is in the Toon gimmick. I think this is a big part of what makes it feel as strongly structured as it does; the plot's really simple, but the thorough stylization makes it really fun and breezy. Like, with how Didi can just waltz through the vault because none of the traps can do anything to a robot, that fits perfectly with the overall fun old-timey cartoon feel.
On my first read I almost felt like Didi won too easily, like I would have wanted more resistance if just to give the Toons more screen time, but going through again and again I think her being kind of untouchable actually does a lot to strengthen the tone that does so much for the comic. It's a real kinda Bugs Bunny vibe and Jack slots into it perfectly as the oblivious pompous heel, it's great. Your artstyle also works fantastically for these characters, it's so bouncy and lively and it makes the entire comic so vibrant.
Also I couldn't find a better place to fit this but I wanna highlight the "gesundheit" "Thanks didi. DIDI" bit, I loved that I dunno what Jack's supposed to sound like but I swear I could hear his voice in my head on that panel.

There's so much flex in this comic, from just the scale of the crowd shots, to all the new toons you designed and wrote and immediately killed, to the actually kinda surprising complexity of the plot. It feels like you fit a lot of turns into a tight space and it works so well as the elaborate scheming setup for the punchline of Didi's motivation. The big opening fight is a ton of fun, you use the Toons to an admirably creative violent effect.
I feel like the momentum slows down kind of abruptly at the transition to the tryout scene, but it picks back up quickly and the humor helps a lot to keep the energy strong all throughout. The art also serves that energy, the toons are so expressive and it's a great contrast with how unnervingly flat Didi is. The color palette helps everything pop out clearly, and I love the little differences in how you posed the rubbery toons compared to the pulpier Didis.
rip in peace Toadie, he did his best o7

First off, I LOVE how you've used the disparity in the amount of dialogue each combatant here is given to develop the conflict between them. The blowhard clown, whose every word is hilarious in just how wrong DiDi shows it to be, and the doll herself, whose expressions and actions alone make her a powerful and delightful presence from the first page to the last.
One note I would have with DiDi is that, had I not already read a long list of DiDi comics over months of Oculama, I might not be able to get the best idea of who/what she is.
Your flow of action here is really nice; Jack exposits for over half the comic, but it's a hoot throughout, and the shoot-out/bust out at the end is a great bit of closing action.
On a more general note, I am LOVING King Jack Queen as an addition to the Llama-verse. You've written a character that beautifully walks the wire between absurd and awful, between funny and frightening. I can't wait to get more of this guy in the comics to come.

This story took some TWISTS! As expected, you have found some very fun ways to use your opponent's OC, abd you've built a very intriguing world around them, what with the rival toon yakuza. It's a pleasantly complex story for the page count, that manages to deliver humor while making me gasp (Tacky?? how DARE he!) out loud.

Art-wise, your renderings of all the graphic toon violence is delectable, and the toon designs themselves not only impressively varied, but each side toon feels close to its own realized design individually. My only critique on the art would be that some of your similar tones run together a bit throughout the comic (the whites in the large toon scenes, the greys of the background and certain objects), which makes it a bit harder to parse the excellent designs you have at work here.

Finally, I of course have to applaud your exceptional facial expressions on just about every page. I feel like I could study your stuff at length and learn truckloads about conveying maximum thought and emotion with a very economical application of detail. Bravo!

Camel

what a comic! this has some of your best expressions and caricatures you've ever done, you're clearly very comfortable working within the toon milieu. Jack is a ton of fun, but tbh I think your Didi was the star here, you gave every frame of her extra spice and it was delightful, always love seein an opponents character get plenty of love. The end gag was delightful, I'm gonna need mass produced Clyde plushies stat. If anything, I think you should push Jack's proportions and silhouettes even more, aside from that great fish-eye panel on page one, he doesn't really bend the scenery around him much, and he seems like the kind of scenery chewing character that would do just that. Get wackier, get more magnanimous!

Camel

holy fuck!! Didi continues her reign of hot pink terror!! This comic is fantastic, it's gorgeously detailed, it's hilarious, it's got great action left and right, gags galore - this is probably my favorite outing of Didi's so far. The limited palette really suits her and the vibe of this comic well, although I think one more shade of pink to help differentiate depth would be prudent, that amazing splash on page 4 may be the highlight of this comic, but some of the gorgeous detail is muddled by that hegemonic pink. But that's merely a quibble, this comic rules, didi rules, keep it up!
