Oculama

The shading and coloring is clear and great to look at, I'm a big fan of making panels merge into other panels.
The character designs are easy to read and I love Shelby’s palette, especially against the colorful (offline tv?) water in the banners.
At first I didn't know who was saying what in the first two panels, and it took me a second to understand what was going on (I thought Crunchulon was the skinned rug LOL), but that didn't impede my enjoyment by a lot overall.
I'm really curious to see how the tv static/remote plays into Shelby's story!

I love the artwork and it is a lot of fun to see. I am not entirely sure what is happening in the story, the relationship that all these characters have to each other is not very well established what they are to one another On the first panel of the boat Im not sure if it is supposed to be her boat or a boat she boarded to shake down but decided to bully the shark man. I like the tone of comedy and her eagerness to just have fun but Im not sure if I understood this comic very well, but as always the art is really well done and the character design even for the apple guy is really great!

The IMMEDIATE old-school vibes are strong! Wonderful expressions, but I was most impressed by the dialogue. Within the first speech bubble I was aware of a super unique voice of each character. I guess the only critique I can think of was I wanted to see more dynamic posing of Selby and Bad apple. I dont know the character but the writing and art style made me want to see more rubber-hose/loony-tunes exaggeration, thought I understand that that is a pretty hackneyed conceit. Take it for what thats worth `\/('-' )\/`. Wicked comic, Ill bet you money it gets animated one day! Excited to see more!

It's funny how Happy Memories has a whole other connotation now given when this was originally made. I was very bemused you pulled this out, but very happy. While you're absolutely crazy now and would run circles around this style, I still think this is very fun. This ends up being a little snapshot from an older Kozi (...like 5 - 6 years? How long ago was this?) I still love how this was written, too. I'm curious to see how this is going to look when we finally get to your first comic you've produced for the site because we have a great snapshot from SADSHARK to now on Oculama. Still, super cool!

A nice shot of Shelby :3, I feel like the best thing about these banger 2 pagers are the fact that you have basically a perfect setup for a joke or gag, executed greatly here with the "page turn" being a nice lil punch-line, and having the brevity with the story told is what makes these short punchy comics so enjoyable! I feel like i could reread this a lot and still gain a lot of the charm that I'd find in it the first time around! a perfect setup to a fantastic character :-] cannot wait to see more. I fucking love and ADORE how perfectly you capture the noodly and cartoony style and it inspired me to try this as well!

Where do I even start with this comic! it's a kaleidoscope of subtle background humour and expressive characters. I want to know more about this world, I want to see more! The skin carpet and the design for the Fucking Evian are such unique worldbuilding touches, I've never seen anything like it. I'm a sucker for character design and I really love what you've done with yours, Really strong silhouettes- I love how the apple character limbs look like worms, that touch also is also a really cool way of expanding upon the sort of rotten apple theme they've got going on. Selby as well is excellent and I love how her colour scheme calls back to the old rubber-hose animation influence on her design. The colours are very nice and there are a lot of nice textures on the colouring that help it all pop that Lil bit extra. overall I'm super excited to see more of these characters and the world they live in :D .

Near perfection tbh. I am just bummed that there are only 2 pages lol. Your art is always top-notch. The palette you chose goes really well with the nautical theme. I really love the exaggerated expressions even though the characters were just simply standing and conversing. I think that helped give this comic a lot of impact despite just having two pages. You're able to illustrate Selby's personality (and priorities) without needing to give us more context (though I would've loved more backstory from her. I guess that will come in due time.) Your ink work is gorgeous and the thick outlines really gave me that toon-y effect. I can easily see this in a published book or newspaper/magazine.

Cruchulon's face at the end is hilarious lol. That poor guy haha.

I liked this comic. The art in this comic is great and the characters look cool, especially Selby! She seems like a tough cookie! I love some other details here, like the "THE FUCKING EVIAN" LMAO and the blood in the last page. Poor shark.. Only problem I had with this is that this kinda feels like a page or two taken out of context from another story. The dead crewmember and shark getting slapped imply that some battle happen, at least to me, and it makes me wonder about what happened as a whole. Maybe I should re-read. But still, this character seems cool, and I can't wait to see her slap. All in all, great comic. Yours truly,

I dont really feel qualified to critique this one so please take it with a grain of salt. Your style is amazing as always. I think I got a good handle on Selby's personality and motivations here, and I feel bad for the shark. Whose photo is it? Does the shark like her? Also why she got such a shapely booty? Very nice. I have a lot of questions about this crew now and I will 'stay tuned' for more. I think my only actual crit is that first panel, and it's such a nitpick, as all the text is readable and followable, I just found it odd that the text was over the clouds like that. I think it's cause they were the same color that I kept kinda processing it as all one shape. Which... As I said, it's all legible and everything, so other than me just feeling weird about it, I don't have much advice for it cause I don't quite know myself why it scans as off to me. Sorry if that is bothersome. Thank you for the lovely comic and I have soooo many questions, like why does the ship have a tongue? More please!

A treat as always to see your work. Im excited to see more of Selby. panelling and pacing was good.

The only thing I can think of off the bat is the slap at the end could maybe be a bit more dynamic. It’s good, but I feel like Selby would the type to really wanna get their money’s worth outta that slap. Maybe more of a w ind up in Selby’s pose, the impact over all is good.

Otherwise, I think this is a really solid star and Im very much looking forward to seeing what kinda shenanigans Selby and their crew get into.

Aw, yes, Selby's on the high seas again! There's so many fun details in this comic, and it definitely adds to the cartoony vibe. This comic does a great job presenting her personality, and this is what I feel is what the comic sets out to do. The photo in the end is a nice touch, especially the little bloody cup stain. I'm also not quite sure if "memones" is purposeful or a typo, but I am glad they are happy.
Now, I read through this before the site lore was announced, and I honestly feel like Selby's gonna be fun.
