!!!!!!!!CONTENT WARNING!!!!!!!!
- Lotta gore
- Like if you could handle that one scene from Hereditary you'll probably be good
- I don't know what came over me just proceed with caution

Caz 'Fucking' Turner and Sera Dippity fling fists, words and miscellaneous medieval items at each other in this brawl through an old castle. Who deserves to truly return in this tournament of un-death?

[Unfortunately the back half of this comic is only thumbnails, I ran out of time due to some scheduling conflicts with nursing work. But hey! Learning moment! It's all there at least! Enjoy!]

Rivana

Ninja - Another stellar entry. What struck me the most was the backgrounds in this comic. The panels with the pouring rain felt like I was really there. You did an excellent job with the colors and the lighting. Even with your stylized art, the gore also looked very visceral and I loved that. The story is low on action, but it makes up for it in emotional investment. I kept wondering when or if Caz would betray Sera anytime soon. Deep in my heart I do want them to be 'sisters'. And indeed they were, until the very end...I wish it wasn't so short-lived ;_;

Rivana

Sal - What an exciting comic! From the very first panel to the last, I was a the edge of my seat. Too bad you weren't able to finish the rest of it but the pages that were completed looked so good. The unfinished ones still looked nice but I had to do a double or triple take to understand what was going on, especially at the end. The way you presented the falling corpses on page 4 was really clever and cool, it really stood out to me. I admire how you depict action and motion in your panels. It's very dynamic and 'alive'. Something I wish I could capture in my own work someday.

Man, this whips. It seems everyone else this round was struggling, but you banged out another full, full color comic. Your watercolory coloring style is always so pretty to look at, and I think *really* helped sell how miserable and wet this whole comic is. It's drenched in atmosphere, well done! The warm lantern light contrasts with the dank, wet outside so well, which also contrasts with that lightning! The rest of the comic being more subdued, and dialogue driven helped the shock (I couldn't help myself hehe) of the lightning pop even more. I really loved the mood you were able to set in this one! I was already feeling sad when I first read it but you made me cry again haha. And what a brutal way to end the comic! Poor Sera. I just want to give her a hug. And some therapy! And then I want her to make me an outfit.

Sparkle Magic Didi™

I know you struggled this last round like I did, but you still put in some crazy work here! Your comics are so fun, especially when you're doing zany action! I said so in discord but it's true, your pages are dynamic, and your action is slick. Stuff like page 4 is amazing, using Caz's trap as the panel divider and Sera finding and grabbing the shield, using it, then throwing it, all flows *so well*. It's a shame you couldn't finish your story, but what is more polished, and even your thumbs tell a very cool story!

Piñata

The monster is destined for lonliness.
I don't know if you're feeling the tragic vibes of Mary Shelly, but taking a more emotional angle with your round 2 was unexpected. The grisly pinky promise feels very in line with your opponents vibe and M.O but still coincides with the tone you're trying to get across. Man pledging protection then dying the same way Dippity returned to us for this tournament is a level of storytelling parallels I just eat up. The fact she goes with a smile on her face adds to this tragically macabre conclusion. Poor Sera has lost so much and been let down by pivotal people- where does she go from here? That question really is a clever method to entice your reader to wanna see more in round three.

Piñata

I am so here for this castle siege. I love your details in the dining hall and hallway, to say nothing of the dynamic angles you utilized. You have such a knack for movement and a sense of speed in your comics which I think is needed when you're pitted against a rollerskating dame. There's something really enjoyable in seeing your opponent shown in the most epic light - I especially love the sequence of Dippity tearing down the hall and narrowly avoiding the boobytraps. The last spike skewering her arm is GNARLY, but round 1 has proven you have a very cinematic handle of violence and humor. Caz just by character design alone definitely reads like a scamp and seeing her engage in suit of armor hijinks was hilarious.
Despite the deadline creeping up on you, your 'incomplete' pages looks fantastic- and I put that in quotations because by way of sketches? pencils? These pages still look slick and carry the same level of dynamitism as your completed work. As someone whose personal pencils are a mess, your drafting is impressively sharp and I found myself not missing a beat as the story went along.
Geez, both of you came at round 2 with such opposite tones- I really don't know how this is going to lean!

This was a great comic. You played to your strengths and it shows here. You had some fantastic background work and the story was really nice. It was good to see some more thoughts from Sera regarding everything that happened before.

Your line widths are usually acceptable, but when dealing with the dripping mascara or blood, it might have been stronger looking if there had not been any lines on them at all and you had just relied on the strength of your colors.

Also, the part where she was cooking on the glass counter-top. I imagine that was meant to be a hot plate, but the shallowness of if it made it look a bit funny. Not a big deal, just would have been better had it been raised a smidge and given more detail.

This was a terrific comic and one that was a real tough to decide on, but regardless what happens, I always am excited to see more from you. This was a great read. Super job!

Absolutely terrific. You've got so much character oozing with your style, each person has a ton of personality in their expressions, attitude, and movements. It's a shame you were also cursed with the time goblins and weren't able to finish fully, but the sketches you provided and giving us a full story is respectable. The story was also great. The background and details were all on point and you did an awesome job here.
This one was a real tough one to decide on, but regardless what happens, hope to see more from you soon. Whether it's Round Three, a new character, or having Caz pop into a Solo or Holiday Comic. Excellent comic.

Pizza Man

This was a nice short story. While I thought it ended just a bit too abruptly I did enjoy everything before a lot. The art is good with only a few nitpicks that didn't affect the score for me. As for the writing the pacing at times felt a little too quick to where it makes Sera have an emotional whiplash I was convinced she was going to try and either run from or fight Caz but she's talked down pretty quickly. These things didn't affect the score too much though and this was a great comic all the same!

Pizza Man

Damn the way you draw fight scenes is exceptional! It's nice to see someone fully utilize the comic format like this. While the fight scene was well made I do feel like it went on just a bit too long. Fight scenes should be broken up with some form of break in between when possible. There are rare occasions where if a fight scene gets increasingly absurd then it can go on for a while (I'm blanking on any other example other than the giant chicken fights from Family Guy). Even if the second half is a bit unfinished this is some good work!
