Yes! I ADORE a good school battle royale! And this is a very fun one indeed~ The setup is so out of left field for the OCs involved, but you've set them in their roles so well that it reads like a totally plausible almighty student council style fighting series. It's a fun setup, and you use the setup to great effect in the comic itself.

A few minor notes re: the writing would be to do an extra round of proofreading to catch all the spelling/ grammar errors in the text (goodness knows I could stand to take that advice myself~). I also would have loved to get just a little bit more of Trix in this one; he does some brisk stage-setting up front, but this really feels like the Ira show after that point, with Trix as a hanger-on.

Not many notes about the art - I dig the look you've cultivated here; it reminds me of a lot of the late 90s/ early aughts American cartoons I loved as a kid, and the prank-y/ comic violence nature of the fight that takes place feels right at home there. The economy of detail is spot-on, and I like how well you've brought all 4 OCs at play here into the aesthetic without losing what makes them cool/ distinct.

There's some SUPER fun things going on in your artwork here I adore - the video game formatting for Ira's fight against the bone goons, the use of realistic heads for Osseus and Gloomheart - all great visual gags that really spice up the fight. Even the simpler lineart pages are pulling a lof of heft here; the sequence of Trix trying to sink that final putt and Osseus' smug face are particular standouts in my mind.

The writing here is quite good, though I would put forward a few nitpicks - there's a few spelling errors, though pretty minor, and I feel the conceit of Ira's power needs to be established/ more strongly hinted at early on. The use of her power in exploiting Trix, and Osseus/ Gloomheart figuring out her power to take her down are all very cleverly done, but I confess I didn't put together WHY she was getting Trix to play that game until my second read-through.

The writing is otherwise really solid. Osseus and Gloomheart have a great dynamic whether they're bickering or pretending to get along for tactical advantage. The reason for the two duos coming into conflict feels a bit absurd, but in a way where the absurdity heightens the story of an already pretty outrageous group of OCs. Great work all around!

WOWOWOWOWWoW woweee wowy wowzers jesus christ i can not believe how unbelievably polished this fucking shit is for the love of god, coloring, lines everything. Fucking hell this is such a good chunk of comic, perfectly episodic adventure that is told in just the mount of length it was required for.

i adore how strong you both are with such amazing composition and imaginative comic making, its something truly worth studying. I really adore the club setup, almost College-AU spin on this all, theres nothing i love more than a good solid setup as a foundation for an amazing comic. I love it, i cannot pick between these two i simply refuse.

Prometheus

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT YOU TWO WHY IS EVERYTHING YOU TWO TOUCH THE funniest FUKCING THING EVER??? THIS IS SUCH BULLSHIT.

i wish i was this funny and good at visual gags this is such gold even with art thats just lines i adore this comic so much, I hardly ever feel like, style envy but god i adore how Fish stick can just hop from cartoony scrabble blimblos to detailed rendered pieces its so head spinning. Also Wiz god i can only assume you had some hand in this script i cannot bare another moment without these two. amazing, best duo your all diamonds

Oh hell yeah bluescale. Love the classic little RPG dialogue box arrows. And the textures on the walls. Damn they must be hard up for funding or something, that's one way to budget your after-school activities. HDSUIDHIHFRDSU "YOU THERE, GAMER." CHOKING NOISE. /GLOOMHEART'S HOODIE WITH THE SKULL THINGIES. AND THE TRIPP PANTS./ GOTDAMN THERE'S ANIMATION TOO. HE WIGGLE. His little fishbowl... This was cute and hilarious and I loved the style and colours, was the limited palette specifically a handheld console thing? Works great. Good action during the running away sequence. Fun as hell premise. Still not over GREAT SKELETON DESTRSOYERS being bone club nerds.

LexiLopezi

*looks at the title* *remembers the skellyguys' backstory premises* somehow I doubt this will be either easy or casual. Creepypasta game machine. Oh that's a nice transition to outside. Gloomheart would like to see your flier's permit. Oh yeah I guess it'd be hard to tell since they're already bones. HGUIFKSDKDSJKAN THE PHOTOBASHED SKULLS SUDDENLY LOOMING BEHIND. Okay the space invaders screen and the pixel art mario jump Ira were great but I gotta hand it to the dark souls overlay. THE LITTLE TIMEOUT. Ira I don't think they can kiss without lips. ...Damn that timeout worked better than I thought. JDHFIGSRHSIUHFIDUHGSUTRSUGRUHSI. NOOOOOO THE CABINET. Damn this is a tough fight just on writing alone. I maxed out the score for both but I do love skellyguys' more.

This was such a fun comic to read and what a fun premise! Doing it as a college AU! I think the interpertation you did for you opponents to fit this AU was a lot of fun as well.

Pacing was really nice over all and I really enjoyed how ya'll decided to do the coloring on this, it looks really nice. The animation was very fun too! what a treat!
The only critique I really have is I think the choice of texture in the last panel on page 5 doesn't fit in as nice visually with the rest of the comic. I think solid approach to the values would have worked a bit better.
Otherwise, lovely comic ya'll! Real treat to read and you two work really really well together! I look forward to reading more work from ya'll!

The premise of this comic was so much fun! What a unique and clever way to link everyone together!
I laughed a whole lot reading this, it was very funny. Very good Gags!
The biggest thing that sticks out to me is it overall feels very rushed with the art and I would have liked to see a bit more consistency throughout the comic.
Some of the more fleshed out pieces I really enjoyed though and looked strong visually!

Overall I still had a real good time reading it and it was just a really fun and funny comic! Had me gigglin the whole time!
Thank you both and can't wait to read more from you guys!

Beautiful beautiful work. The dynamic angles, the play on color minimalism and Ira's word bubbles?? Inspired. The gamified vibes of this comic speak to me and we love to see it. Its clear that on digital paper your collaboration sings and it shows. I'd love to learn who did what because I can't really tell just by looking and honestly, that is great.
Osseus and Gloomheart as highschool club leaders was such a chuckle worthy interpretation on these space invaders. The subsequent chase and exploration of these school grounds was really neat. Just the standard issue biology lab and fishtank used to great effect splashing upon Osseus? Even going so far as to animate the punchline with our boney invader flailing on the ground? I can dig it
All in all stellar work you two. What a team and what a match up!

Piñata

Oh man both of these comics were so good for very different reasons. This is the kind of match up and dilemma I've been hungry for and both of these teams gave it in spades. The comedy here was utterly superb. Seeing the establishment of your hothead bone duo figure out Ira's gimmick and struggle to be positive as heck was hilarious. All of that effort and tenuous victory just to have Trix do the job for them and bust apart the arcade was great. This is the kind of double trouble battle I love to see. The stakes don't feel so loaded in the artists favor. I actually found myself reading wondering if Gloomheart & Osseuss were actually going to win.
Granted the art is admittedly rough, but you can definitely see the foundational dynamism and quality that could've sung had there been more time to refine. Even so, your respective personalities and the comic events are clear and shine through. Great work!

The art in this is seamless – I dunno what your division of labor was, but the style that came out of it is really consistent, which kinda feels like a weird thing to comment on but I know how hard that can be in a two week collab so just wanted to say its impressive. The character acting is distinct and expressive, with even most of the background extras getting unique designs, and the backgrounds themselves are a nice balance of detail to sell the school setting.

That setting is also a cool way to contextualize the tournament, I love the Anthropology/Bone club bit, I'm super curious to see how you'd fit the other teams into this framing.

The two duos are both really likeable - the character interactions are funny and strong within each team, though I felt like there wasn't as much back-and-forth between the two teams. Like, how Ossues has his cartoon villain rants that are very in-character and great, but I only noticed Ira talking back to him one time. Xavathos' also has his conversation with them at the end which is also very in character and great, and I'd have liked if there were more little interactions like those dropped in other places.

Also I dunno where else to put this but that animation is wonderful.

furlitz

The writing is so snappy in this, it reads really smoothly. The character chemistry is so good I feel like it carries the comic – the plot's kinda secondary, but that works for how it lets focus stay on the bouncy dialog. Xavathos and Ossues' dynamic is so much fun, its simple but you push it hard enough right from the start that I feel like I immediately know who they are, it's really endearing I love them. The same goes for how you wrote Ira and how her powers play off Ossues' personality, making the resolution to the fight so much funnier for how clearly everyone's character has been established. I feel like Trix got kinda left out though. I loved their moments at the beginning and end but they felt absent through the fight, I'd have liked maybe just a panel or two to show how their game's going and remind that they're still there.

The art does feel rough but never so much that it's unclear, the actions are always readable, and personally I think the expressive ways you both draw the simpler character designs makes up for the sketchiness. Also the game segments are great, very stylish I love it.

WOW the color work here is so elegant, it pulls off the shifting mood so well without sacrificing any clarity. And you get so much expression out of the skeletons, you get their characters immediately. They look as cool as they do silly, my hardest part in this review is finding anything that needs criticizing. The text gets really heavy in the beginning, it's got a lot to set up but the blocks feel hard to get through, especially compared to the strong pacing after that. That said, the whole thing works and never feels confusing, an impressive feat! Super satisfying and funny, tops work.

Pengogo

This comic requires a bit of time before it becomes clear what's going on, but god it never stops being entertaining even when you're going through absolute nonsense. This feels like an animated short in the best way, every character has a clear voice and motivation even while they're completely absurd. The magical realism really works, especially with the art which is so expressive and well paced it's astounding. The blasts of color especially help elevate the writing when it really needs a punch. The shifting art styles, the chaotic pacing, it all comes together very precisely. Super funny and satisfying especially when nobody gets what they want, superb work.

KUMITE! love the setup and outlandish scenario for this battle and you did a great job of giving a strong showing of all the character different personalities which was really fun to see clash in this comic! I love the design for both trix and Ira and you made both of them super memorable while giving some great panels and humor to your opponents as well I almost died at the little give of lord ossues spinning on the ground ahaha! as always I love the style and colors put into comics by corn in the past and im glad to see you guys delivered an even better comic together in such a short time! I look forward to anything else that comes from you guys in the future!

xeno112

okay so I am a sucker for good slapstick and there was loads of it in this comic that made me truly smile its cool to see yall go from enemies to team mates and make it work so well! I'm an even bigger sucker for arcade battles ( on the cabinet and in the arcade 90s style) and seeing all the great video game reference panels used to great effect was a delight such good storytelling and ideas were on display here! and the greatest part was the pay off of Trix's face when he decided the had to end that games whole career lol amazing job you two!
